• Introducing our side extending hospital sleeper settee:  It's attractive, durable and easy to open and close. The sofa is designed to seat 2 people up to 350 lbs. each in the closed position. The weight capacity of the unit in the open sleeper position is 350 lbs.
  
  
• Deemed to be more appropriate in some hospitals, side extending sleeper units are growing in popularity.
  
  
• It is typically positioned next to a wall.  It is used as a 60" long sofa during the day. Then at night, the sofa quickly converts into a comfortable 80" long sleeper unit. In the sleeper position, the unit extends along the wall instead of into limited center floor space.
  
  
• This sleeper settee is built with a sliding platform that extends from either end as specified by the hospital. The sliding platform slides in and out like a match box with the inner unit sliding on a rigid urethane "track" for ease of opening and closing. The sliding arm section with casters makes it very easy to move the extending platform.
